VueScan makes it easy to scan photos and you can queue up multiple shots. You can choose a mode for a beginner or a professional taking into account the number of options you need. The program has 3 scan modes: Basic, Standard and Professional. This is one of the best photo scanning software in 2021 that supports exporting in JPEG, TIFF, and RAW. Using this program, you can scan several images at once without adjusting the sizes each time.Īlthough VueScan doesn’t always correctly display the scan result during preview, it edits shots rather well. Verdict: VueScan is scanner software that allows you to get digital copies of negatives, photos, and documents. It’s not cheap but I find it easier than DSLR scanning using a V850 and Plustek 8200. Silverfast is the most complex but for me offers the flexibility of editing later if using their archival suite. Vuescan should be applauded for keeping older hardware going, being great value and offering a platform for further editing in Negative Lab Pro. I shoot mostly Ilford HP5+ box speed and pushed 800 1600 and Kodak Tri-X at the same ISOs and in lesser extend I shoot some color, only the cheap stocks like Fuji c200 and Agfa Vista 200. I'm using Linux mostly so i downloaded a vuescan trial to give it a try along with Darktable. Sometime yesterday, while I wasn't paying attention, Vuescan quit saving readable slide and negative scans.
The problem I'm having is with the scans that Vuescan is saving to my files. FYI, this is not about whether Plustek or Vuescan are better or worse than other scanners and scanning software.
Plustek as a world-leading scanner and solution provider, our customers are able to download the drivers and software online easily.
